Pope Francis and His Critics on Liturgical Issues Lecture

Posted Oct 19th, 2017 by Julian Johnson  Category: General Interests

The Sylvania Franciscan Village presents the Father Jim Bacik lecture Pope Francis and His Critics on Liturgical Issues from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The lecture offers a discussion of the Pope’s recent statement on the need to continue the Vatican II liturgical reforms despite curial officials who favor the tridentine mass, insist on literal translations of the Latin text of the missal and who want to return to the past practice of the priest presiding at mass with his back to the people.

$10 in advance or $15 at the door. For more information or to reserve tickets, contact Elizabeth Reiter at ereiter@sistersosf.org, 419-824-3515 or visit www.sylvaniafranciscanvillage.org.
