New Standalone App Makes Getting Great Food as Easy as Getting a Ride

MEDIA AVAILABILITY
UberEATS Toledo General Manager Berry Kennedy will be available for interviews and app demos TODAY ONLY from 2:00-3:00pm at Tony Packo’s (7 S. Superior St). Scott Radel Vice President of Tony Packo’s, will also be available for interviews.

(Toledo) – Today, UberEATS launched in Toledo, offering food delivery 7 days a week with menus from the city’s favorite restaurants. The app launched in partnership with over 30 local restaurant locations, including Tony Packo’s, Deets BBQ, Star of India and Don Juan Mexican Bar and Grill, and more.

“The UberEATS app allows users to order food delivery whenever they get a craving, with menus available from over 30 restaurant locations in Toledo,” said Berry Kennedy, General Manager for UberEATS Ohio. “We’re thrilled to launch today in Toledo to connect local residents and visitors with new, tasty options, add new earning opportunities for driver-partners and help local restaurant owners expand the reach of their business.”

The UberEATS app is free to download and has been built specifically to make getting great food as easy as getting a ride. Beginning today, Toledo residents can open the UberEATS app on their smartphone or head to UberEATS.com, order food from a great restaurant, and have it delivered, fast. That means whatever the craving – late-night snack, post-workout boost, or nutritious dinner with the fam – it’s only ever a tap away.

We will be launching in downtown and surrounding neighborhoods including Maumee, Oregon, downtown, Northwood, and Ottawa Hills.

“Since Uber launched three years ago in Toledo, there is no denying Uber has changed the way people get around town. When we heard UberEATS would be coming to Toledo, we knew they were the ideal partner to bring Tony Packo’s to our guests outside of our traditional restaurants,” said Scott Radel Vice President of Tony Packo’s. “Our teams are excited to use the UberEATS platform to deliver our menu offerings directly to our guests with the same quality and care we have in our restaurants.”

To celebrate the launch, first-time eaters can get $5 off their first two orders with the promo code TOLEDOEATS.
