Tony Packo’s® is proud to announce its partnership with the Salvation Army of Northwest Ohio to support our community and surrounding areas. Packo’s and the Salvation Army will work together throughout the year to raise money to be distributed by the Salvation Army for support of its many services, which are far reaching. “The Salvation Army touches so many lives in positive ways, not only through their assistance efforts but through their coordination with other county agencies to care for those in need,” said Emily Bennett, President of Tony Packo’s.

Buy Packo’s fried pickles and support The Salvation Army’s local programs. December 1-15, Packo’s will donate $1.00 for every full order of fried pickles and $0.50 for every half order to The Salvation Army Northwest Ohio Area Services. Packo’s is partnering with The Salvation Army and Pickles Against Poverty is part of a series of opportunities to give back with a Packo’s purchase.
The Salvation Army Northwest Ohio Area Services provides assistance for those in need in Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Fulton and Henry counties. Services vary from school supplies, holiday assistance, and emergency disaster services, to providing food, utility, rent, and clothing assistance. Also in Toledo there is a program called RISE that offers case management services for those involved in or at risk for human trafficking. In 2016 The Salvation Army served over 31,000 people in the area by providing assistance through their programs.
Through the purchase of Packo’s fried pickles from December 1-15, customers will be giving back to help The Salvation Army assist those in need here in our community. Stop by a Packo’s location to participate in Pickles Against Poverty.
