Black Swamp Conservancy’s 7th annual fundraiser, Bluegrass & Green Acres, has changed locations for its 2018 event. The Malawi Event Center at Toledo Zoo is the setting for the March 16 celebration, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based bluegrass, dobro and roots music artist Mark Lavengood Band will entertain for the evening. This multi-instrumentalist / singer / songwriter has toured the regional, national and international music circuits for more than 10 years. He and his band are known for their energetic performances and technical skills.

Emcee and auctioneer Jerry Anderson from WTOL-TV will return for the 2018 event, heading up live and silent auctions that typically feature first-ever opportunities and other unusual items. The night also includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Proceeds from the evening support Black Swamp Conservancy’s conservation and restoration work to protect Northwest Ohio’s valuable natural resources. Since its founding 25 years ago, the Conservancy has permanently protected 17,000 acres to support Clean Water, Good Food & Wild Places throughout our region.
