Maumee Valley Country Day School Announces Junior Student a Finalist in MIT Competition

MVCDS student Nipun Jayatissa '19 has been selected as a 2018 finalist for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) THINK program, an annual science research and innovation competition for high school students. His research proposal was selected as one of six finalists out of over 175 proposals received from students around the country.

He has been invited to visit MIT, present his proposal, and receive feedback from the MIT faculty and students. During this time he will attend xFair (an annual student-run technology expo), talk with the MIT faculty, have lab tours, and more. Nipun will also receive a $1000 award to purchase research supplies for his project.
