The Arts Commission welcomes you to its spring fundraiser, The Mix BEACON. This year we celebrate in one of Toledo’s historic downtown spaces, Fort Industry Square, the site of the very first Mix (The Original Mix) event in 2005. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the unique spaces of Fort Industry for the first time in many years.

Date and Time: Friday, April 20, 2018
General Admission 8:00pm-12:00am, VIP Preview 7:00-8:00pm

Location: Fort Industry Square, 136 N. Summit St., Main Entrance, off Water Street, Lower Level.

Art Auction: The involvement of local artists is a huge part of what makes The Mix Toledo’s best party. The original works of artists handpicked by Tara Outten will be featured in The Mix’s signature auction. Committed artists to date are: Matt Paskiet, Sten Neuber, Brien Strancar, Eamon King, Jim Yarrito, Ryan Thompson, Chris DeMuro, Mike Stevens, Matthew Richards, Nadia Barreda Packard, Tara Belle Outten, Lisa Soltis (LAS Jewelry), Katy Mims, Misha Donnelly Nalepa, Robin Schultes, Jenny Gorkowski Klear, Scott Horn, Carlee Bollin, Courtney Macklin, Mary Jane Erard, Mary Gaynier, Khrystyne Dewey, Ian Welch, Helen Grubb, Adam L. Sanzenbacher, Davis Hartman, Larry Mack, John A Kinnee, Sarah Thomas, Leon Applebaum, and Adam Goldberg.

Entertainment: The Mix BEACON continues The Arts Commission’s history of great entertainment, featuring the best in regional talent. Featured performers include Los Aztecas and The Overton Project. PhotoBoothLive returns this year to record the fun for all to see.

Artist Demonstrations: Local artists will showcase their talents in person, inviting guests to observe and participate in the creative process.

Silent Auction: Silent auction offerings will include tasting packages, artistic experiences, and more. The Toledo Zoo, Balance Pan-Asian Grille, The Handlebar Toledo, Toledo School for the Arts, Bartz Viviano, Foodology, LuLuLemon, Libbey House Foundation, Glass City Beer Hopper, Firenation, and Gathered Glass are just a few of the businesses supporting The Arts Commission’s Mix auction.

Great Food: The Mix BEACON receives generous support from our local restauranteurs. We are pleased to offer taste treats from the following great Toledo establishments: Adams Street Café, 7 Little Cupcakes-Perrysburg, Holey Toledough, Maddie and Bella’s, Fowl and Fodder, Balance Pan Asian Grill, and Yer Mom’s House of Eats, and many others.

Event Benefits: Proceeds from The Mix will benefit the programs and activities of The Arts Commission, including Young Artists at Work, Creative Placemaking, and the Art Loop.

Tickets: Tickets are $85/person. VIP tickets are $135 each and allow guests to access the event one hour before the doors open to the public, with a private cash bar, specialty menu, and artist demonstrations. Parking at a lot on Water Street will be provided.
