The Sylvania Franciscan Village (SFV) presents the 6th Annual Karl Rahner Lecture in honor of Father Jim Bacik from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 31st. Guest Lecturer Mary Catherine Hilkert, O.P., will address “Ordinary Grace: Human Life As Sacramental.” Karl Rahner is noted for speaking of “ordinary mysticism” as well as his insight on the experience of grace that can be discovered in every aspect of human life.

This lecture draws on that insight by using the work of poets and saints to explore what it means to speak of ordinary human life as sacramental. $10 per person in advance and $15 at the door. For more information or to reserve tickets, contact Sophia Lloyd, Sylvania Franciscan Village Director, at slloyd@sistersosf.org, 419-824-3515 or visit www.sylvaniafranciscanvillage.org.
