Afro-Am Dinner

Posted Feb 13th, 2019 by Melissa Kuhl  Category: Education

Each year the African American Club at Maumee Valley Country Day School holds a dinner to celebrate African American culture. The main goal for this gathering is to come together as a community and discuss important topics in society today. In previous years these discussions have been conducive to bringing together people from different backgrounds and creating a space for conversation.

On February 25 from 6-8 pm, Afro-Am Club will continue its annual tradition. The theme this year is “Black Identity”. Tickets are $5. This dinner and discussion are open to the public, and all are encouraged to add their thoughts to the conversation.
