Wishah Popular Dance Troupe Presents Freedom of Horses, Friday, April 5, at the Franciscan Center 6832 Convent Blvd in Sylvania. Doors open at 6:00pm, event begins at 7:00pm. Inspired by Ibrahim Nasrallah’s novel Time of White Horses, Freedom of Horses tells the story of a defiant Palestinian village through traditional Palestinian song and dance. Open to the public. Wishah Popular Dance Troupe
Originating in Ramallah, Palestine, artists in the Wishah Popular Dance Troupe are volunteers who wish to devote their time to youth, the arts, peace, and Palestinian culture. Seeking to preserve the beauty and culture of Palestine, Wishah Popular Dance Troupe incorporate traditional Palestinian dance, song and dress in all their performances. Visiting the U.S. again for a short time, their Midwestern tour stops in Sylvania, Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago.
