Oak Openings Blue Week: Explore the Rare and Beautiful

Celebrate all things blue in nature during an all new Oak Openings Blue Week, May 13-19, 2019! Over 20 free family events, indoor and outdoor activities, workshops, lectures, tours, and film opportunities across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan will showcase the unique plants and wildlife living in the Oak Openings Region.

Activities will take place at Secor Metropark, Irwin Prairie State Nature Preserve, Kitty Todd Preserve, Oak Openings Preserve, Tomahawk Archers, Petersburg State Game Area, and other select locations across the region. Highlights include:
• Natural history hike/lecture series: “In Their Footsteps”- All week, various locations
• Native plant sale, May 18 and 19 Secor Metropark
