LISC, ProMedica Invite Businesses, Developers to Apply for Capital to Build Healthy, Thriving Communities

$25 million loan pool is set to finance economic development that supports health gains, improves quality of life, and revitalizes communities

TOLEDO – Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and ProMedica are seeking applications for financing through the ProMedica-LISC Health Impact Fund, a loan pool designed for real estate and small business development projects benefiting communities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The pool is part of a broader alliance between LISC and ProMedica to scale up economic opportunity and improve health outcomes in Toledo and the surrounding region over the next decade.

LISC and ProMedica will be hosting an event to provide information about the fund and how to apply on Wednesday, May 22, from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Armory at Hensville, 28 N. St. Clair Street. The meeting is open to the media. Interviews will be available after the meeting with Maurice Jones (CEO, LISC) and a Kate Sommerfeld, President, ProMedica Social Determinants of Health.
