Mercy Health talks about GERD & Heartburn – Dec. 2 at Way

Heartburn is a very familiar feeling to many people and a common symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD occurs when stomach contents backflow into the esophagus, causing discomfort and irritation.

Dr. Matthew Fourman, Bariatric and General Surgeon, will speak about the causes of GERD and the preventative measures which can be taken in order to reduce symptoms and increase quality of life. This educational presentation will be on Monday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mercy Health Family Activity Room at Way Library.
