July, 2007, Toledo, Ohio

Kevin Anderson, Ph.D., a psychologist, award-winning author, and nationally recognized speaker, will be presenting an eight session course titled “Divinity in Disguise: Experiencing God in All Things” at the Ward Pavilion, Wildwood Metropark, 5100 Central Ave., Toledo, Ohio. All presentations will be from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday evenings once a month (excepting December) beginning September 12th, 2007. Participants may attend all or individual sessions.

About the series:
Sponsored by people from a diverse group of area churches, the Divinity in Disguise program has the potential to transform how participants think of and experience God in daily life. Many people today are searching for a deeper, more integrated connection to sacredness that extends to all aspects of their lives. This course focuses on the idea that God awareness is as near as our next breath, our next deep joy or sorrow, the miracle of our bodies, a loving interaction, our sense of awe in response to the beauty of creation, or our efforts to give our energy to others through meaningful work. According to Dr. Anderson and mystics from various traditions throughout the ages, “we are swimming in the sacred energies for which we long.” Living with that awareness can change everything.

Session titles in order of presentation:
•Now is Where God Lives: Celebrating the Sacred in the Moment
•River of Grace: Experiencing the Extraordinary in the Ordinary
•Temple of God: Creating Daily Awareness of the Wonder of our Bodies
•Joy Management: Unplugging from Stress, Plugging into the Infinite
•The Liturgy of the World: Seeing God in the Awesome Mysteries, Miracles and Metaphors of Creation
•The Divine Within: Sensing the Sacred in our Joys and Sorrows
•To See the Face of God: Experiencing Divine Love in Human Relationships
•Labor or Love: Opening our Work to Divine Energies
