The Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter is offering a free, informative program called “Tax Planning through Charitable Giving.” The program will take place on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 6 p.m. at the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, 2500 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo.
Various important issues need to be addressed when someone considers making a charitable gift, such as your personal financial situation, the needs of a non-profit organization and your personal connection to that organization. This program is designed to help you understand the tax benefits that may accompany making a charitable gift. It will be presented by Steve Lauer, an estate tax attorney with the Internal Revenue Service, Toledo office.
Mr. Lauer is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (Trust and Probate Section); Toledo Bar Association (member of the Probate and Estate Planning Committee); Lucas County Bar Association (Past President) and the Toledo Estate Planning Council.
This program is free but space is limited and reservations are required. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by Monday, December 3. For more information or to register, contact the Alzheimer’s Association at 419-537-1999 or 1-800-272-3900.
