Voters! Come arm yourselves against the self-serving and manipulative hype put out by campaigns every election year! Through the joint efforts of over 100,000 Democratic and Republican voters working together over the past 16 years, Project Vote Smart has completed the nation’s first Voter Self Defense System and our staff is delivering it to Toledo on Friday, September 12. We will be at the University of Toledo’s Centennial Mall (neat the Student Union) from 10-2pm.
Delivered in a mobile training center on a blue and red bus touring the country, our system gives voters an easy and straight-forward way to strip away the talk and see where candidates really stand on the issues that most matter to them. Through our film theater and computer stations, our staff will help train voters on how to find the unbiased information we all need and include voters in a project to send messages protesting the at-times dishonest way our candidates present themselves to the public and take a stand on election day.
