Tibetan Buddhist Monks Visit Toledo This Week
Please join us in welcoming the Tibetan Buddhist Monks from Gaden Shartse Monastery as they visit the Toledo area as part of their 2008 U.S. Tour
Wednesday, Sept. 10th through Monday, Sept. 15th
A lecture, “World Peace and the Unity of All Religions,” will be held Thursday, Sept. 11th at 7:30 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4909 W. Sylvania Ave. Suggested donation: $10/person.
The Chenrezig (Buddha of Compassion) Empowerment will be given Friday, Sept. 12th at 7 p.m. at Integration Yoga Studio, 4633 Bancroft (west of Talmadge). The blessing of Chenrezig is highly sought after, as it helps one to become more peaceful and compassionate, even with the state of current world events. Receiving the empowerment of this Buddha also provides one with protection from an unfortunate lower rebirth. $20/person
A Medicine Buddha sand mandala will be created at the Mercy Cancer Center at St. Anne Hospital beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13th. A dissolution ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. This free event is open to all. Cancer patients and survivors are invited to receive a special blessing.
The monks will also be available for personal or group healings, and house or business blessings. Reservations are required.
