TMACOG Welcomes Presentation on Sustainability
Gene Krebs, co-director of Greater Ohio, will make a special presentation at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled December meeting of the TMACOG Board of Trustees. The presentation by Mr. Krebs is Wednesday, December 17, at 2 p.m. in the Grand Lobby of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza (the third floor of the Amtrak building).
Greater Ohio is a non-partisan, non-profit agency formed to educate the public about important land use and financial issues facing Ohio. Gene Krebs and the agency are working to help business and government understand and apply broad principles of sustainability. This concept of sustainability includes fiscal issues as well as environmental concerns. His presentation should be of interest to elected officials and administrators dealing with a backlog of problems and limited resources. Some of the topics that he addresses include how to move from crisis mitigation mode to long term stability, and fiscal planning including building the cost of maintenance into the cost of new development.
