St. Ursula Academy to Present Grease at Franciscan Theatre
Poodle skirts, leather jackets, bobby socks and rock ‘n roll: St. Ursula Academy will present Grease on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 1 at 2:00 p.m. at The Franciscan Theatre of Lourdes College. Leading the cast of Pink Ladies and Burger Boys are Emely Ortiz (Sandy) and Ryan Schmidt (St. Francis de Sales) as Danny. Allison Woods, Caroline Berger, Kennedy Cox and Molly Pfohl sing the leading Pink Lady roles. Sean Burns (Anthony Wayne), Charlie Baker (St. John’s Jesuit), Reed Silverman (Ottawa Hills) and Austin Leader (Blissfield) are the featured Burger Boys.
The cast of ninety-one also includes male actors from Central Catholic and Maumee High Schools. Mrs. Melissa Beland, Stage Manager Kelly Clark and Assistant Stage Manager Lauren Veith have created a multi-level set to bring back the fifties. Ms. Staci Carter, choreographer, has Rydell High School hopping! Mrs. Randi Monaghan, Mrs. Jeanne Zook, and Mrs. Christine Brenner lead a team of creative costume designers. Mr. John Rowley, musical director, is assisted by Mrs. Allison Kryzyminski; Elizabeth Clarke Horrigan is production director.
