Computer Works of Toledo Helps Local Family

Posted: Wednesday, January 14, 2009 by: Jen Scherer | Category: Technology

In 2009, Computer Works of Toledo will celebrate 10 years of serving the communities of Northwest Ohio. In addition to the business community, Computer Works of Toledo believes it has an obligation to contribute to the success of local charity, non-profit, and educational interests.

Our most recent project enables students undergoing treatment in the Clyde-Green Springs Exempted Village School District to communicate with their classmates through distance-learning technologies. You may be familiar with the series of child cancer cases that have plagued the Clyde area in recent years.

Clyde is located about 45 miles east of Toledo in Sandusky County. The Hisey family in particular has been dealt the misfortune of a second child diagnosed with a form of leukemia that requires a three year treatment program. Computer Works hopes that the technology implemented will benefit the social and educational needs of this family and others.
