Going Green: Toledo’s Art of Recycling

Located in the Toledo area, SMART BINZ Corporation plans to distribute, free of charge, 300-500 recycling receptacles throughout the Toledo community beginning Earth Day, April 22, 2009.

As a public-private partnership, SMART BINZ has joined with the City of Toledo, The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA), Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful (KT/LCB) and the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo in promoting recycling efforts and awareness while showcasing a wide variety of eye-catching art displayed on recycling receptacles in public spaces within the Toledo area.

SMART BINZ defines itself as a passionate community service organization whose focus is a balance of environmentalism and art. The SMART BINZ art of recycling campaign is meant to encourage interests in LIVE GREEN…Keep Toledo Clean while facilitating a creative approach against litter, building community pride, and helping to fostering a “green” collaboration within the City of Toledo and participating businesses, corporate sponsors and the Arts community.
