OOPS Annual Storytelling Conference
The Ohio Order for the Preservation of Storytelling (O.O.P.S!) announces May 2nd as the day for its 2009 conference at the First Congregational United Church, 124 Main Street, Mt. Vernon, Ohio. The conference will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm and includes 5 workshops on various aspects of storytelling from “Storytelling Nuts and Bolts” to “Using Technology in Story Telling”. The final general session features guest speaker Bil Lepp, five time champion of the West Virginia Liars Contest.
That evening, the public is invited to the 2009 “An OOPS Evening of Story Telling” starting at 7:00 PM also on the 2nd. This evening will include: inspirational, humorous, and heart-warming stories as told by 3 different story tellers. Ohio tellers Condessa Croninger and Omope Daboiku will begin the evening, headliner Bil Lepp will then complete the evening with his hilarious tales.
The conference, lunch, and the evening of OOPS Story Telling is $55 for members of O,O,P.S. and $65 for non members. Individual tickets for “An OOPS Evening of Story Telling” are $10 and available in advance or at the door.
