Autism is a complex, neurological, developmental disability that affects a person’s ability to communicate and interact with others. The diagnosis of autism continues to rise and, while much of the focus is on children, attention must be paid to the critical needs as those children become adults. Bittersweet Farms is in its 26th year of serving adults with autism. It is a farm-based homestead for individuals with autism that has been recognized internationally and nationally for its success.
