Make a French Friend-Exchange Program Seeks Host Families
This summer the Toledo area will be host to two groups of young French kids ready to spend part of their summer vacation getting a taste of American life. The World Exchange, a non profit educational organization, has been placing students from various countries for 20 years. The two groups are scheduled July 13- Aug.1, and Aug 1 through August 20.
They are boys and girls aged 14-18, who come with ample pocket money, full insurance and an eagerness for fun and learning. All are fairly fluent in English so host families don't need to know French. They just provide a bed, daily meals and time to experience as much of American life as possible. Program directors plan two group activities, but the rest of the time is yours to keep your student learing about and enjoying your family on a daily basis.
