Dia de los Muertos set for November 7th, 2009
Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead is a Mexican Celebration dating back over 500 years. Today our families and friends still honor the Dia de los Muertos traditions, by creating decorative altars and enjoying life past, present & future over food and libations. Join us in commemorating the lives of our deceased loved ones in the festive atmosphere of the Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center on November 7, 2009.
Featuring first class, live entertainment & commemorative altars by local artists and community members.
Altar participants will have free supplies available to them, utiliztion of the Sofia Center for their productive/creative space & their work displayed during the Dia de los Muertos Celebration.
