Music Under the Stars on July 26th to Celebrate Disney
TOLEDO, OH – Join the Toledo Concert Band and conductor Samuel Szor as they celebrate the magical music of Disney at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre THIS Sunday, July 26th at 7:30 pm. The FREE Music Under the Stars series is in its 57th year of bringing quality music performances to the people of Toledo - over 2 million loyal audience members have attended since its inception.
Music by Disney has enchanted generations of children from Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast to Mary Poppins and The Lion King. These memorable tunes, combined with excellent local talent make for a great evening out with family and friends. Special guests include Toledo Symphony violinists Cheryl Trace and David Dyer and their Suzuki violin students. "The Suzuki Method" teaching style is popular throughout the world, and has been adapted to include musical training in various instruments including strings. Many of these students will participate in the new Toledo Symphony School of Music, now enrolling for the fall.
Music Under the Stars on July 26th will take place at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre, 2700 Broadway in Toledo. The concert begins at 7:30pm.
Thanks to business sponsorship, this series remains free and open to the public. Returning lead sponsors include The Andersons, Inc., Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and UAW Region 2-B. Mercy Health Partners has joined these lead sponsors for 2009. The Toledo Zoo and the Toledo Symphony continue to provide essential in-kind, material, and administrative support.
