The EGA serves thousands of members through a network of over 300 chapters which are grouped into thirteen geographical regions. Membership in NAGT is open to all interested in needlework and currently includes members from 15 Northwest Ohio municipalities as well as some from southern Michigan. However, you need not be a member of the guild to submit an entry. Visit http://www.needle-arts-toledo.org/showinfo.htm to obtain entry fee schedules and forms, rules and other details. Entry drop off is 4 pm – 8 pm on Wednesday, September 23rd, however, special arrangements may be made for mailed submissions by contacting the show registrar via [email protected].
Our judge this year is Sandy Rodgers. Sandy is an internationally recognized designer and needlework teacher, having taught for over 25 years. As a community outreach project at the show, the guild will collect complete needlework kits (needles, threads, materials and instructions) to be sent to the Brooks Army Hospital at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. These kits are used by our veterans and their families while they are recovering at the hospital. Through July 2009, the Needle Arts Guild of Toledo has sent over 760 such kits to the hospital.
