Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo hosts Buddy Walk

TOLEDO, OH — In conjunction with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo (DSAGT) is hosting their 8th Annual Buddy Walk™ with the goal of promoting awareness, acceptance and inclusion for people with Down syndrome. Expecting over 1,000 participants, DSAGT invites individuals with Down syndrome, their families, friends and all supporters to walk to support DSAGT’s local programs and NDSS’s education, research and advocacy efforts. Through the month of October, National Down Syndrome Awareness Month, more than 225 Buddy Walks will occur throughout the United States.

WHEN: Sunday, October 4, 2009
Registration begins at 10 a.m.
Walk begins at 12 p.m. (commencing around 2 p.m.)

FEES: Pre-registration fees are $10 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under)
Price includes a t-shirt, lunch and a day full of fun, including pedal cars, a blow-up obstacle course, games, face painting and more! 

Deadline for pre-registration is Tuesday, Sep. 1  
Cost after Sep. 1 pre-registration date is $15 for adults and $8 for children
