Pianist Ryan Behan to perform at Toledo Museum of Art
TOLEDO, OHIO – Pianist Ryan Behan is returning to his hometown to perform at the Toledo Museum of Art in August.
A member of The Ohio State University music faculty, Behan will give a free performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21 in the Great Gallery at the Museum.
The concert will feature warhorses of the Classical, Romantic, Impressionist and 20th Century repertoire by W. A. Mozart, Franz Liszt, Maurice Ravel and Sergei Prokofiev.
Behan grew up in Toledo and studied piano with Jerome Rose, former artist-in-residence at the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts. In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree from BGSU, Behan is a graduate of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. He earned his doctorate at Ohio State.
Admission is free at the Toledo Museum of Art, which is a nonprofit arts institution funded through individual donations, foundation grants, corporate sponsorships and investments. The Ohio Arts Council helps fund Museum programs through a sustainable grant program that encourages economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
