Third Thursday Art Walk set for August 20th
So much great art and spaces to see in one night, you will have to come back again next month for more. Thursday, August 20th, from 6-9 pm, the Arts Zone and Warehouse District in downtown Toledo come alive as its galleries and artist studios open to the public. The Arts Zone/Warehouse District Third Thursday Art Walk is a great opportunity to browse and purchase affordable local art, while getting to know the artists and galleries of the Arts Zone, the Warehouse District, and the surrounding area. The Art Walk, presented by the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo (ACGT) and artists, galleries, and arts enthusiasts of the Arts Zone and Warehouse District, will continue on Third Thursdays through September.
Participants for the August 20th event include: Studios of Carol Imes-Luscombe and John Luscombe, MMK Gallery, 20 North Gallery, Sur St. Clair, the gallery above Jack Wilson’s Studio, first floor offices of Paul R. Sullivan AIA, Ahava Spa, The Little Gallery, Bozarts Fine Art and Music Gallery, Olive Street Studios, Hannon’s Block Building, Secor Artist Studios, The Ford Gallery, Davis Building Gallery, Space 237, Park Lane Supper Club, Madhouse Gallery, Truth Art Gallery, and the Collingwood Art Center.
Convenient parking for the Art Walk at the Erie Street Market, located south of Fifth Third Field between Erie Street and St. Clair Street.
The Secor Studio Artists will host Open Studio Night at the Secor Building during the Art Walk through out the summer. We encourage you to roam through the studios of over 20 artists located on the 5th, 6th, and 7th floors. We also invite you to visit the Gallery On Six (6th floor) to view recent works by our own Secor Artists and other local artists. Bring along some folding money our artists will have art works of various styles, media, and genre available for purchase. The Secor Building is located at 425 Jefferson. Contact 419-514-7496.

The Arts Zone/Warehouse District Third Thursday Art Walk is a project organized as collaboration with neighborhood artists and arts enthusiasts by the ACGT's Live Work Create Toledo (LWCT) program. LWCT aims to identify, promote, and strengthen the arts, artist community, and cultural assets of Toledo. In August 2007, an "Arts Zone" was identified as a geographic point of focus because of the many existing galleries and art studios in the neighborhood.
The last Arts Zone/Warehouse District Third Thursday Art Walk of this season will take place on Thursday, September 17. But in October don’t miss the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo’s ninth installment of the Meet and Greet event with free bus loop between downtown galleries on Friday, October 16th.
