Village Players Open Season with Squabbles
Come join the Village Players Theatre as we being our 53rd season with Squabbles, which is written by Marshall Karp and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
This hilarious play pits a father-in-law against a mother in a comedic succession of squabbles. Jerry Sloan is a successful writer of advertising jingles married to an equally successful lawyer. Living with the happy couple is the not-so-happy Abe (Jerry’s curmudgeon father-in-law). Abe is a funny guy...to the audience, not to Jerry. The situation is exacerbated when Jerry’s mother Mildred’s house burns down and she needs a place to live.
Wes Skinner will direct Squabbles. Tickets are available by calling the ticket service at (419) 472-6817 or at the box office. The show will run September 11-26, 2009 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sunday, September 20th at 2:00pm. Tickets are $14 for General Admission and $12 for Seniors (60+) and students. Season tickets, gift certificates and Adopt-A-Seats are available.
