Woodlawn Cemetery Hosting Guided Autumn Color Walking Tour
The Historic Woodlawn Cemetery will be hosting a free guided tour on Sunday, October 25 at
2:00pm to experience the dazzling show of brilliant autumn colors within the gates of the
cemetery. During this 90 minute tour tree experts will highlight the best sampling of fall
colors on display within Woodlawn’s nationally recognized arboretum.
On the walk participants will be surrounded by many architectural landmarks
including the area’s extensive collection of private mausoleums, which are part of
the rich history that attracts genealogists and history buffs to the cemetery.
There is no fee to attend the tour (though donations are always appreciated), but Woodlawn
asks that you please register in advance by e-mailing to [email protected] or by
calling Woodlawn at 419.472.2186. Please register by October 21. Also, please plan to arrive
for the tour no later than 1:45pm and be prepared for a 1-2 mile walk.
Historic Woodlawn Cemetery & Arboretum is a National Historic Site with more than 160 acres
of scenic rolling hills. Woodlawn, a private, non-profit cemetery, has over 40 acres of burial
space available, a public mausoleum, crematory, cremation niches and is open to people of all
