The Toledo Symphony presents Gershwins An American in Paris
The Toledo Symphony Orchestra (TSO) performs Gershwin’s beloved An American in Paris Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21. The TSO also partners with renowned pianist Stewart Goodyear to perform Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F at the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle.
In a weekend of concerts that salute the great American symphonic tradition, Principal Conductor Stefan Sanderling leads the TSO in the selections by Gershwin plus Ives’ Variations on “Americaâ€Â and Symphony No. 3 “The Camp Meeting.â€Â
Additionally, Saturday, November 21 the Toledo City Paper is teaming up with the TSO to present a unique and social pre-concert experience. The night out includes hors d’oeuvres, a meet-n-greet with musicians and principal conductor Stefan Sanderling, plus an exclusive backstage tour before the concert. The event is geared toward young professionals and the young-at-heart who desire a more non-traditional symphony experience.
