Home for the Holidays with Sheri LaFontaine
TOLEDO, Ohio November 11, 2009 – Sheri LaFontaine, one of the most captivating voices in gospel music and the golden voice of Toledo, invites you “Home for the Holidays.â€Â On December 6, 6-8 p.m. at the Northview High School Auditorium, Sheri will be performing her second annual Christmas concert with a portion of the proceeds going to help victims of the three recent typhoons in the Philippines.
“I'm excited about this special holiday concert, not only because it's in my hometown but because we'll be raising money to help so many that lost their homes in the Philippines. My heart goes out to them,â€Â stated Sheri. “To me, Toledo is the biggest small town I know and I'm proud to call it home.â€Â
Northview High School is located at 5403 Silica Dr. in Sylvania, Ohio. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Sheri is known around the world as a talented singer/songwriter. She is a staff songwriter for Daywind Music Publishing in Nashville, TN and co-hosts a Southern Gospel music radio show which airs locally on 102.3 FM WPOS on Sunday mornings from 10 – 11 a.m. Sheri is also a regular performer of the National Anthem for the Toledo Mud Hens and can be heard singing your favorite Christmas tunes at Levis Common’s annual tree lighting ceremony or on Toledo’s Christmas station, 101.5 The River.
