Posted: Friday, November 13, 2009 by: Jennifer Jarrett | Category: Arts and Entertainment

Event Summary: The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo is pleased to announce the return of our bi-annual “The Art of Fine Livingâ€Â event. The inaugural event in 2007 raised over $70,000 in support for ACGT operations, and an additional $25,000 in scholarships for the Young Artists at Work program. This fusion event celebrates fine living experiences, with great dining temptations, entertainment, and silent and live auction items exemplifying the best our community has to offer.

Date and Time: Wednesday, November 18, 2009, 6:00-10:00 p.m.

Location: The Oliver House, Toledo, Ohio

Celebrity Chefs: J.D. Wesley, Cindy Gehring (Cynthia’s Catering), Michael Bulkowski (Revolver), Chef Marcel, and Labib Hajjar, (Beirut). Celebrity chefs will be complemented by offerings from Rockwell’s and desserts by Petit Fours.

Gala Auction: The live and silent auctions will offer packages to surprise and delight. Early commitments include an auto lease from YARK Automotive, a week’s vacation in a luxury waterfront home in Jamaica, a sporting package of skeet shooting and trout fishing, Lake Erie sailing trips, and unique opportunities to create art alongside Toledo’s most celebrated artists. Donors can also show their support during a scholarship auction to support the Young Artists at Work program.

On-line Bidding: Selected auction items will be available for online preview and bidding on November 1, 2009.

Honorary Chairs: Margy Trumbull and George Rumman

Event Chairs: Sue Hague-Rogers, Rita Mansour, and Jim Moore

Additional Information of Interest: Both the Oliver House and the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo celebrate milestone anniversaries in 2009. The Oliver House has exemplified fine living in Toledo for 150 years and the ACGT celebrates 50 years of promoting the arts in our community.
