Health clinic, MenuCare, opens in Westfield Franklin Park
New walk-in clinic in Toledo offers patients another option
for reliable, convenient healthcare
MenuCare, a new doctor owned and managed retail health clinic, has opened its first location at Westfield Franklin Park in Toledo. The clinic, located inside the mall entrance facing Sylvania Avenue, helps busy families and individuals with managing minor healthcare needs.
MenuCare is a welcome addition to the Toledo area community as an healthcare option for the busy lifestyle. The new Westfield Franklin Park location offers simplified, straightforward services for routine medical needs and is open during mall business hours.

The Convenient Care Association (www.ccaclinics.org) reports on its web site that retail-based health clinics costs are as much as 25 percent less than other health care providers, such as the ER, urgent care and community health clinics, and they accept most major health plans.
“Our nurse practitioners on staff have master's degrees, and utilize a local referral network of health care providers for patients if a diagnosis is made that requires the care of a physician,â€Â adds MenuCare’s Chief of Medicine Donato Borrillo, MD, JD.
MenuCare’s services include diagnosis, treatment and prescriptions by licensed, board certified medical professionals. Common illnesses treated at the clinic include flu, sinus and ear infections, sore throat, minor skin conditions, allergies and respiratory infections. Also available are school and sports physicals, screenings and vaccinations.
“We’re not suggesting that the services MenuCare provides should take the place of your primary doctor,â€Â says Spencer. “MenuCare does, however, provide consumers with a convenient and high quality option for treatment of minor illnesses, vaccinations and sports physicals.â€Â
The retail locations also provide nutritional health and wellness counseling, as well as relevant over-the-counter medications, medical equipment and self-care products.
According to Dr. Borrillo, MenuCare is dedicated to patients’ whole health, including educating patients’ and their families and recommending all individuals have a primary care physician they see on a regular basis to monitor their ongoing healthcare needs.
MenuCare has plans to open clinics at Westfield Southpark in Strongsville, Ohio and several locations in Columbus, Ohio this year, including kiosks inside select Discount Drug Marts in that area. MenuCare also has expansion plans that include other strategic retail locations in various cities throughout Ohio and the country.
MenuCare walk-in retail health clinics will be open 7 days a week with extended hours for patient convenience. Appointments are not necessary, and memberships are available for even greater affordability.
