The Toledo Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is scheduled to host The Michigan/Ohio Workday Cluster at the Park Inn Hotel, 101 N. Summit St., in downtown Toledo from 6 p.m. beginning this evening, Friday, November 20 through 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 22.

The three-day Cluster will welcome more than 400 Jack and Jill members from the great states of Michigan and Ohio, and represents one of two Area Workday Clusters hosted by chapters in the national organization’s Midwest Region. The Region’s other Area Workday Cluster was held earlier in the month and was hosted by Jack and Jill members from Illinois in their state.

The Area Workday Clusters are designed to reacquaint Jack and Jill members with information about their national organization’s history, chapter and regional operations, programming, and much more. The theme for The Michigan/Ohio Workday Cluster is Master the World by First Mastering Your Potential: Strengthen Your Mind, Body and Spirit.

This weekend’s Michigan/Ohio Workday Cluster will feature the participation by Jack and Jill national and regional officers: National President Jacqueline Moore Bowles; Regional Director Kimberley Will; Regional Secretary-Treasurer Kimberley Goode; Regional Member-at-Large Twanya Hood-Hill; Past National President Alice Peoples, and National Legislative Chair Cynthia Tetterton-Williams (Toledo Chapter member). The Toledo Chapter President is Asha Barnes, and the Cluster Chairs are Katrina Barry, Toledo Chapter Vice President, and Toledo Chapter Editor/Historian Jovita Robertson.

The Workday Cluster at the Park Inn Hotel will include a Town Hall meeting scheduled from 8-10 p.m. on Friday, November 20; a General Session and concurrent Workshops from 8:15 a.m.-4:45 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, followed by a variety of teen and chapter-hosted events from 6 p.m.-midnight, and on the closing day, Sunday, November 22, a series of Regional Team private activities scheduled to conclude at 11 a.m.

*Media Alert: Area media outlets are invited to attend a special Toledo Community Service Project presentation during the Workday Cluster, organized by the Toledo Chapter of Jack and Jill, scheduled promptly at 5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Park Inn Hotel on Saturday, November 21. Chapter officials will present a special donation to members of the Sparrows Nest, an area provider of safe emergency shelter for single women.
