Humane Ohio Beat the Heat Promotion
TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 19, 2010 – The weather outside may be frightful, but for Humane Ohio, a non-profit organization that operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, spring and kitten season are just around the corner. The group has planned a “Beat the Heat” promotion and will spay female cats during the month of February for the special rate of $20 in an effort to prevent unwanted litters before kitten season. This special rate for female cats is even less than the organization’s normal low-cost price and applies to all residents of Lucas County and Wood County (must provide proof of residency). Cat owners who wish to take advantage of this offer must mention the “Beat the Heat” promotion when they call to schedule their appointment. The promotion is based on availability.

It’s our goal to eliminate pet overpopulation in our community by offering affordable and accessible spay/neuter, and our “Beat the Heat” promotion is a fun way to reach out to the community and prevent unwanted litters.”
Humane Ohio operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic to serve pet owners, feral cat caretakers, animal shelters and rescue groups. The non-profit organization can offer low-cost spay/neuter prices because private donations and grants help subsidize the true, higher cost of spay/neuter procedures. Humane Ohio believes that all animals should receive the highest quality veterinary care possible even if the services rendered are at a reduced cost. Their clinic uses state of the art instruments and equipment, all spay/neuter surgeries are performed by qualified, licensed vets (DVMs) and every patient receives a brief physical exam and quality pain medication.
