Lourdes events encourage students to check out College, share their talent
This spring, the Lourdes Admissions Department is offering the following opportunities for potential students and area representatives to experience the College: High School Guidance Counselor Luncheon – Friday, February 19, 2010 Guidance Counselors are invited to attend a special lunch at Lourdes where they will hear updates from College representatives and tour the campus. Franciscan Theatre & Conference Center, 11:30 a.m. Reservations are due by February 5. Shadow Week – March 22 - March 26, 2010 Individuals have the opportunity to shadow a current Lourdes student and experience a college level class. Choose from one of the following four daily sessions: 8 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Each session lasts approximately two hours. Breakfast, lunch or dinner will be provided. Discovery Days – Tuesday, April 13 & Thursday, April 29, 2010 Tour the campus, meet with students, faculty and financial aid representatives, get updates on what’s new at the College and enjoy light hors d'oeuvres. Lourdes College Showtime event features performing arts, music and more American Idol® style competition allows audience to choose winner On Friday, February 19, Lourdes College will host Showtime, a talent show competition celebrating the performing arts. This free event is being held in the Franciscan Theatre & Conference Center at 7:30 p.m. Previously known as Franciscan Follies, Showtime is a variety show featuring the talents of Lourdes College students, alumni, faculty and staff and members of the local community. The audience members will help choose the top performances. Set up and judging will be similar to FOX television’s popular show American Idol®.
