The Toledo Symphony Orchestra (TSO) will perform “Bow to Brahms” Friday and Saturday, March 26 and 27 at 8 PM in the Peristyle led by principal conductor Stefan Sanderling.
Huntington Bank is sponsoring the weekend of concerts and a new “Backstage Pass” event (Saturday, March 27). Backstage Pass can be added to traditional tickets for only $10, and members of EPIC can purchase a concert ticket and Backstage Pass for $30. The Toledo City Paper is the lead media sponsor for this event.

The Backstage Pass includes hors d’oeuvres in the Toledo Museum of Art Green Room prior to the concert with enlightening commentary by TSO musicians and staff and an appearance by Jennifer Frautschi, featured violinist for the weekend. Ms. Frautschi has been playing the violin since the age of three, and is making her TSO debut performing Brahms’ Violin Concerto. She performs on a 1722 Stradivarius violin known as the “ex-Cadiz”, which is on loan to her from an American foundation.

The Backstage Pass event will start at 6:30 PM. The concert will begin at 8 PM. The program includes Richard Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration and Til Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks. The program will conclude with the violin concerto.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.toledosymphony.com or by calling the box office M-F 9a-5p at 419-246-8000. Tickets are $15-$50.
