10th Annual Connect to Creativity Teen Art Show
Toledo area teens have returned to the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library for the 10th Annual Connect to Creativity Teen Art Show. The show features drawings, paintings, sculpture and jewelry made by more than 200 local teen artists in grades six through 12.
The works these students have completed are on exhibit in the Wintergarden, Teen Library, and in display cases near the garage-level entrance of Main Library, 325 Michigan St., now through Saturday, April 24. The displays, which are on view to the public during the Library’s regular hours of operation, showcase some of the finest youth artists the Toledo area has to offer.
Connect to Creativity gives Toledo teens the opportunity to present their art in a venue where it will be reviewed and praised by their families and the community. The show displays artwork from more than 200 Lucas County teens and was originally the idea of the Library’s Teen Advisory Board – meant to highlight some of the positive things teens in our area are doing. A public reception is scheduled from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 24 in Main’s McMaster Center.
The artwork displayed is loaned through the generosity of art teachers in our community who take the time to gather and submit students’ work they are proud to have inspired. The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is grateful for all of their support and assistance in making this show possible.
