UT Physicians Office Now Open at the Regency Medical Campus

The University of Toledo Physicians group has opened a new location in the West Toledo/Sylvania area to conveniently serve existing and new patients. Presently physicians are holding office hours there in the areas of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Cardiovascular Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery. It is anticipated that other specialties will be added at this location in the future.

Located at 1000 Regency Court, Suite 200, off Talmadge, just north of Westfield Franklin Park Mall in the Regency Medical Campus. The office currently offers on site lab draws, electrocardiograms, and electromyography and nerve conduction velocity testing. UTP Regency will soon offer additional testing including routine x-ray, Dexascan (osteoporosis), pulmonary function testing, echocardiogram, cardiac stress echo and vascular (circulation) testing.

At present the full-time Internal Medicine practitioners at this location are Dr. Allen Markowicz and Dr. Christopher Bates. Dr. Donna Woodson is the full time Family Medicine physician there.

Specialty physicians initially include Drs. Jeffrey R. Hammersley, Dan Olson, Youngsook Yoon and Dawn-Alita R. Hernandez (Pulmonology), Dr. Joseph Shapiro (Nephrology), Dr. Tallat Rizk (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation), Drs. Mark Burket and Jodi Tinkel (Cardiovascular Medicine) and Drs. Jason Levine and Hossein Elgafy (Orthopaedic Surgery).

This new location expands access to University Quality Care in addition to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the Glendale Medical office, the Perrysburg Cardiology office and the outpatient locations staffed by University of Toledo Physician group members at various regional facilities.

On April 7, 2011 I called the number listed above to change an appointment with Dr. Woodson. I called at 2:00PM. I gave up at 2:14. I thought 14 minutes of listening to insipid music interrupted every 15 or so seconds by a recorded voice telling me someone would be with me shortly was more than anyone should endure. I left a voice mail. Although I hold very little hope of getting a response to the voice mail.
