Lost Arts Festival at Seven Eagles May 15-16, 2010
Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan residents are invited to a weekend full of sights, sounds and aromas of the 18th century colonial Seven Eagles Lost Arts Festival at Seven Eagles Historical Education Center. Traditional arts, crafts, music, entertainment, food, beverages, camp life, and much more will be on hand May 15 from 10am-6pm, and May 16 from 10am-5pm. The 2010 Annual Lost Arts Festival celebrates the history and pageantry of 1600-1840 featuring historic craft demonstrations, music, arts, and the history of early Ohio and frontier of the Maumee River Valley. Historical interpreters in authentic camps and vintage ‘garb’ greet visitors in the: Woodland Indian Longhouse & Village, Western Plains tipis, French Trappers Sod Hut, Pioneer Log House, Scottish Tavern, 18th Century Trading Post, Blacksmith Shop and more than fifty other period encampments. Traditional artists demonstrate daily life and skills including: blacksmithing, basket weaving, lace, woodcarving, gourds, silver-smithing, spinning, tanning, leather and tin-smithing.
