It's Bike Week in Toledo - May 17-22.
During Bike Week, the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) invites you to explore your neighborhood on a bike. Bike to work, bike to the library, bike to school. You'll be surprised how easy and fun it is to commute by bike. And you'll save a ton on gas money.
We have lots of bike paths for recreation, and bike lanes that make commuting by bicycle feasible and safe. Join in one of the scheduled events, or make your own bicycle adventure. Bike maps are on www.tmacog.org/bikeweek.htm. All Bike Week events are free.
5/18 Family Fun Ride and Safe Kids Rodeo at Wildwood Metropark (6-8 pm)
5/19 Ride of Silence, UT Parking Lot 1 (6:45 - 8 pm)
5/21 Bike to Work Day. Cyclists invited to meet at Government Center, downtown Toledo (8-8:30 am)
5/22 Bike Extravaganza at the Farmers Market. Cyclists invited to meet at the downtown market for shopping, music, ride to lunch
