2010 Sandpiper Boat Ride Fundraiser

Come and enjoy an afternoon of cruising on the Maumee River with friends and neighbors as the Art Tatum African-American Resource Center Advisory Board hosts its 2010 Sandpiper Boat Ride Fundraiser. The event is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, August 22. The Art Tatum African-American Resource Center is located inside the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library’s Kent Branch.

The cruise allows passengers to view Toledo’s busy port, see stately homes and yacht clubs, marinas and wildlife.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used for the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library’s Art Tatum 101st Birthday Celebrationscheduled on Saturday, October 16 at Main Library, 325 Michigan St. Mark this date in your calendar!

Boarding for the Sandpiper Art Tatum boat ride will begin at 3:45 p.m. at the Summit and Jefferson streets dock. Tickets are $25 per person, which will include light refreshments and adult beverages.
