Musica Antigua de Toledo announces 2010-11 Concert Schedule
Musical Antigua de Toledo is proud to announce the schedule for our 2010-11 season, entitled "Heavenly and Earthly Delights"! In addition to our three-concert regular season schedule, we are having two additional, extra-special events.
Regular season concerts:
"Many Facets of Love"
Join us for various explanations of love as portrayed through medieval and renaissance music and its poetry, as well as instrumental music.

"Story and Song: Entertainment for a Midwinter's Afternoon"
featuring Dr. Robert Rudolf, narrator
Stories have been conveyed through music since ancient times. Come and experience some of the ways music and story has been combined from the ancient Greeks to the early baroque era, and hear some medieval stories along the way.

Alice Petersen and Friends: A Program of Baroque Music
Dr. Alice Petersen, a University of Toledo Music Department faculty member, will present this program as part of the University/Museum collaboration. Selected other Musica Antigua members will join her in performing music from both the early and late baroque era, showing the differing sounds and styles. Music by Castello, Caccini, Sch?tz, Handel and others will be featured, played on baroque violin, recorders, viols, harpsichord and voice.

Lover's Brew: A Renaissance Valentine's Tea
Treat your Valentine to a unique experience with Musica Antigua! Partake of love potions (a variety of teas) and sweet delicacies while you enjoy renaissance musical delights. Even have your tea leaves read! Come in costume if you wish. Tea leaves read by Miss Tamilyn Shean.
