Local Toledo Business provides Disaster Recovery support and proactive tools for businesses. FREE workshop September 16th

TOLEDO, OH – CISP, a data center located in Toledo, Ohio and the Red Cross are holding a free workshop for Disaster Planning and Recovery for business. This FREE informational technology workshop will be held from 3-4p on September 16th at the CISP disaster recovery location and data center. RSVP required, only 85 seats available. Call 419.724.5351 for reservations. Media welcome.

“We were able to assist Service Spring, a company in the recent Lake Township tornado disaster, so they were up and running the Monday after the tornado in our disaster recovery room,” stated Dustin Wade, President of CISP. “Obviously this effected our entire region, but we were able to help a business stay operational and we did it with tools available right here in northwest Ohio…tools built for this exact reason. Most people don’t even know it exists, so we’re holding a free seminar to educate businesses of the possibilities, realities and suggestions for the best practices for disaster planning and recovery – not just for a tornado, but for any disaster scenario.”

The one-hour informational session will include a presentation by the Red Cross for disaster preparedness at home as well as an overview of technical services available to protect a business’s critical data, operating systems and processes in case of a disaster as well as a first-hand account from Service Spring, a business that was located in Lake Township between the Police Station and the High School. CISP will be handing out take home information with important details on disaster recovery for all businesses, large and small.

“A disaster recovery plan should be part of every business,” stated Justin Zahn, Director of Technology for CISP. “We can’t predict a fire or other natural disasters that can literally destroy a business and the income of everyone involved. By employing a few simple and affordable technical solutions to your business plan, you can ensure that your business can be functional – phones, computers, critical data and all – shortly after a disaster. Every business should at least know it’s possible, available and affordable.”

Tom Martin, President of Monsoon Interactive was faced with a “business disaster” in 2008, “We walked in to our office one morning and the landlord sold the building.  We had exactly one day to be out of our offices.  It wasn’t a natural disaster, but if it weren’t for CISP, it would have been a substantial interruption to our business.”

Tom Martin and Monsoon utilized the CISP disaster recovery suite for over a month.  The suite is set up with workstations, phones and other necessary office needs.  With technology and with the proper proactive plan, Monsoon was able to quickly re-route their entire office infrastructure, as well as transfer phone numbers, critical data and operating systems directly to the disaster recovery suite immediately.  Utilizing disaster recovery technology services made it possible to minimize downtime.  Monsoon did not miss one business day because they coupled their disaster recovery plan with technology.
