2010 Walk to Defeat ALS®

Registration: Noon - Walk begins at 1:00 p.m.
The event will again be held on the Flower Hospital Campus on Harroun Rd. in Sylvania. Many pre-event activities are planned on the paddock area with a Silent Auction held in the Barn. We encourage walkers to bring their families and form teams for the one-mile walk. Teams gather pledges from those unable to attend but wish to support the cause. Some may choose to walk in honor/memory of a loved one. The paved walking path is family friendly and allows for wheelchairs, strollers and pets. The money raised will provide programs and services for persons living IN THIS AREA struggling with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Last year this event drew over 800 walkers with $38,000 realized for this debilitating, neurological disease. Our goal this year is 1,000 walkers and $45,000.
