Book signing at A Novel Idea--Toledo's own JIM ELLIS
A Novel Idea, 5700 Monroe St, in Sylvania is kicking off a new emphasis on local writers by sponsoring a book signing by local author JIM ELLIS.
Ellis, author of the Mystery Thriller Double Blind and The Ghost of Boris Riley, a spy novel, will sign copies at the Monroe Street store as well as preview upcoming works and discuss what he calls “Embracing the unsuccessful writer.”
The October book signing is the first of what Novel Idea owner John Scheuer hopes will be monthly events at the store. Although primarily a used bookstore, A Novel Idea features new works from local writers, many of them at discount prices.
Jim Ellis is a native of Toledo and a graduate of St Francis de Sales and the University of Toledo. He has also taught at UT and Owens Community College, and has been a contributor for both the Toledo Blade and the Toledo Free Press.
