10-10-10 Global CO2 Workday Here in Toledo Park

Posted: Monday, October 4, 2010 by: Sue Terrill | Category: Community Interest

In conjunction with 350.org (www.350.org). citizens will participate in actions around the world to do something about the C02 level currently at 388 parts per million to reduce the level to under 350 ppm...the number scientists say is what is necessary to sustain humanity. Here in Toledo citizens will meet at a no- sign park at Eileen Rd. (off Bancroft) and Paisley Rd. (Eileen is two blocks west of the old Dana Corp.)The focus will be on taking out invasive vines which grow so profusely along the creek because of the high CO2 levels so to allow native plants with their deeps roots to grow. These deep roots hold the CO2 in the ground and contribute greatly to our area ecosystem.

Bring tools, gloves. Sunday 10-10 ...2:30 pm -4:30 pm. (If you choose, bring potluck dish to share, plate, utensils, beverage. No place to sit!) All citizens concerned about climate change encouraged to participate. [email protected]
