Miniature War Games Come to Fort Meigs
PERRYBURG, Ohio- Come fight the French & Indian War, Civil War, World War I, space aliens and more, all in one room! Miniature war-gaming experts help you play more than 12 different war games and learn about this family friendly hobby. The tabletop battles will include historical events and some fantasy and sci-fi games as well. No experience is required and kids of all ages are welcome. Admission includes the miniature war gaming and the museum. The event takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the visitor center on November 6. Admission to the event is $5 for adults, $4 for children, and free for OHS members and children five and under.
War-gaming experts from the Great Lakes Chapter of the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society will guide you through different games and teach you how to play your own games at home using plastic soldiers and simple rules. Gaming vendors will be on site and offer miniature soldiers and other gaming products for purchase. Food will also be available for purchase.
Fort Meigs, the largest reconstructed, wooden-walled fort in the country, is located one mile west of downtown Perrysburg on W. River Road (S.R. 65).
